Board Meeting Schedule

Friends of Wildlife Board meetings are held in Dexter on the first Wednesday of each month. They are open to the public. Call (734) 913-9843 for more information.

April 2008

Introductory Wildlife Rehabilitation Workshop

Date: Saturday April 5, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Registration Fee: $35.00 - includes the cost of printed materials and a hearty afternoon coffee break.

Location: Washtenaw County Library - 4135 Washtenaw Avenue, Ann Arbor, MI 48107

Pre-Registration is required by March 30th.. To attend this workshop, print and mail in this registration form (pdf file).

This is an introductory workshop for adults interested in learning the proper techniques necessary to raise and release orphaned or injured native wildlife. Topics covered will include immediate care procedures, feeding, housing, and release of wildlife, as well as DNR regulations for rehabilitators.

Completion of the Basic Workshop makes you eligible to participate (at no additional cost) in hands-on training sessions covering the specific needs of individual species, after which you may be eligible to join the Friends of Wildlife's network of rehabbers.
