How to Support Friends of Wildlife

Opportunities to Volunteer

To volunteer to help with the animals

Friends of Wildlife welcomes Washtenaw County residents who would like to learn more about wildlife rehab. We have a few spots available to sub-permit candidates who want to learn how to rehab and assist licensed home rehabbers. Currently we have rehabbers who do raccoon, squirrel and cottontail rabbits. If you are interested in working with a specific animal we do not do, we can refer you to rehabbers that work with that animal.

Other volunteer opportunities

We need non-rehab volunteers, too! Can you build caging, take phone calls or help with our community outreach and social media presence? Wild spaces are growing smaller, and we are always looking for landowners who are willing to allow us to release rehabilitated wildlife.

Ways to Financially Support

Direct Donations

Members of Friends of Wildlife are all volunteers. FOW is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We use donated funds for necessary veterinary care (x-rays, broken bones, etc.) and for purchasing wildlife formulas and medications. We are always grateful for monetary donations from the community to help pay for these vital services.

If you wish to support our volunteer efforts to save Michigan wildlife, you may mail cash or checks (payable to "Friends of Wildlife") to:

Friends of Wildlife, P.O. Box 1505, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48106.

You can also donate via your PayPal account with any major credit card.
